Santa Marta

Santa Marta was a bit underwhelming. I didn’t expect much from it though. We basically just slept and ate here. It was more of a stopover for Tayrona National Park. If we weren’t part of a 10 person group, I probably would have stayed in or near the park. Unfortunately, none of these places had enough room for ten people and we were limited to staying in Santa Marta.

The good thing about staying here was having food options and access to markets, pharmacies, banks and money exchange. The food along the coast was unimpressive. We never found anything tasty there. But Calle 3 has great options! Our favorite restaurant was Lulo. Here’s a Instagram post by Debs!
